Creative and Media Director

Position Summary:
The Creative and Media Director is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of all aspects, design, development and implementation of the Creative and Media Department. A heart to use media to spread the message of Jesus Christ and equip others for ministry is a must. The Creative and Media Director will build and lead a team responsible for all media productions at Shiloh Church. They will be responsible to build the existing technical arts ministry into a high- functioning creative organization. The leader in this role understands the demands of a large church technical infrastructure and is adept at identifying, mentoring and equipping both staff and volunteer leaders for developing and maintaining the technical systems. The Creative and Media Director will be both a leader with strategic vision and a manager with tactical diligence. This position will ensure the professional, high-quality and timely video recording, publication and archival of all services and events, utilizing vendors and volunteers. This position will lead audio and video productions of Shiloh Church including live services, live streaming, recording, and on-demand playback as well as audio visual archival. This position will also manage some aspects of church communication in partnership with other departments. This position will supervise a team of volunteers and will negotiate with vendors for installation and maintenance of all technical equipment, including lighting, A/V, etc. This position reports to the Ministry Pastor and supports all Media needs of each department at Shiloh Church. This position will also work closely with the Executive Pastor for equipment and capital improvements, and will support all worship services and other events as directed by the Ministry Pastor.

General Job Responsibilities and Duties:
● Carry out the vision and mission for the Media Ministry set forth by the Senior Pastors
● Responsible for all aspects of technical production for worship services and events at Shiloh Church including audio, video, media, lighting, etc.
● Attend Shiloh Church Worship creative, planning, staff and volunteer meetings as assigned.
● Assist in planning, execution of services and special events as assigned
● Recruit, train and schedule volunteers in areas of lighting, projection, and video ● Supervise the work of department members, meeting regularly with, and providing leadership and oversight to them in areas of individual goal-setting and accountability
● Lead team in the areas of prayer and brainstorming, team building and conflict resolution
● Assist with the development of the budget for the Creative & Media Ministry
● Serve as on-call technical lead for all church events
● Lead the preparation and management of Creative and Media Ministry policies and procedures, budget and annual calendar in consultation with appropriate staff members and/or committees

Multimedia/ Video Production
● Manage all live streaming of Shiloh worship services and other church events for all departments
● Support Sunday Service production with Event Manager
● Create weekly video announcements and message introductions in collaboration with the Communications manager
● Create baptism, community outreach, special events and testimony videos
● Manage the recording, editing, posting of recorded service content, sermons and other on- demand videos for all departments
● Maintain current video media on all internet sites and develop and maintain an archive library of messages and programs offered

Social Media & Website

● Develop and post website and social media content, using best practices and creative ideas, making weekly updates and collaborating with staff
● Direct photography and videography of worship services and church events for use in worship, media productions, and website content
● Serve as webmaster, designing and updating content on the Shiloh Church website, creating a consistent, uniform look and appearance throughout
● Train staff and volunteers on use of social media Equipment Manager
● Direct the maintenance of all audio visual equipment in the entire facility, engaging vendors and collaborating with staff as needed
● Diagnose and resolve media system problems during services and events
● Supervise installation of all lighting and video production equipment for all services and events
● Ensure timely and safe set-up, take-down, storage, inventory, repair and maintenance of all audio/visual equipment throughout the facility
● Train teachers and staff on classroom A/V equipment when necessary

Skills Required:
● Experience with Propresenter, MediaShout and/or EasyWorship or similar
● Experience with video mixing and production
● Working knowledge of all required gear/equipment for live video production (comfortable with Telecom systems)
● Knowledge and experience with lighting consoles
● Familiar with Apple Computer OS and software
● Ability to operate camera equipment in live and post production
● Great communication skills are a must in a fast paced, growing environment that is constantly changing.

Education and Experience:
A degree in Video Communications or a related field and 1-3 years of production and management experience is preferred. The successful individual must have a proven track record of effective judgment, and above reproach character. This position requires someone with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a multi- ethnic, urban environment with an understanding of the dynamics of this culture.

Asst. to Executive Pastor/HR Administrator

Position Summary
This is a part-time position. This position reports to the Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastors and dotted-line reports to the Executive Pastor and supports administrative needs of the department and serves as Human Resources Administrator under the direction of the Executive Pastor. The ideal candidate is able to maintain confidential information, is detail oriented, courteous, and responsive with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. This ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Candidate must possess excellent writing skills, be results-oriented and appreciate the importance of effectively handling administrative tasks, Shiloh’s online employment presence, personnel files and other HR support functions.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Administrative Assistant to Executive Pastor
    • Provide administrative support to the Executive Pastor and the department
    • Produce documents and reports from the department
    • Assist with calendar management and travel arrangements
    • Support team and monitor accomplishment of department goals on behalf of Executive Pastor


  • HR Administrator

    • Monitor and update personnel files, employee records and HR database
    • Monitor and update performance documentation
    • Handle job postings, employee onboarding and exit processes
    • Update and maintain organizational chart, Employee Handbook and other policies as directed by Senior Pastors and Executive Pastors
    • Serve as point of contact for Human Resources vendors
    • Serve as safety lead, training and development lead
    • Ensure leaders are informed of and following appropriate HR processes
    • Various other duties as assigned


Skills Required:
 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • A high degree of responsibility, initiative and professionalism
  • 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferable at executive level
  • 2-3 years of Human Resource experience
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with extensive attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google tools, HRIS systems, or other related database software
  • Strong ability to interact in a pleasant and professional manner with the public/church body and staff
  • Strong discretion and diplomacy required to maintain confidential information
  • Strong ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
 

Education and Experience
Associate Degree or commensurate experience. This position requires experience 2+ years in an administrative position. The successful individual must have a proven track record of effective judgment, and above reproach character.
